Following the success of the PLM 10000Q microsite, Lab.gruppen asked us to completely rebuild their main company web site from the ground up.

The new site organises over 2,500 content items into a clear navigational structure, enabling over 10,000 visitors per month to find exactly what they’re looking for, quickly and easily.

Over 1,100 visitors registered with Labgruppen.com in the first 3 weeks after launch, an unprecedented 13% sign-up rate.

Key features of the site include:

• Over 2,500 individual pieces of content, fully managed by the client using the ExpressionEngine Content Management System.
• Over 1,100 registered users, also fully managed via the CMS. Registered users can also apply online for access to specially restricted areas; their application is handled by Lab.gruppen staff, via the CMS.
• A “pre-owned” area, with a catalogue of Lab.gruppen-approved pre-owned amplifiers. Registered users can browse the catalogue and enquire about amps that interest them. Approved sellers can advertise new products, and fully manage their online inventory.
• “Administrator” RSS feeds, which keep the site administrators fully up-to-date with the most important activity, without clogging their inboxes with hundreds of emails.
• A complete catalogue of hundreds of brochures, manuals and guides, available for download by registered users.
• Intelligent use of Microformats, to quickly and easily provide visitors with useful added functionality. For example, the use of Microformats on the Events page makes it easy for visitors to subscribe to the Lab.gruppen events calendar.
